Auto Air Conditioning Repair
A broken air conditioner can make your car miserable all summer long. Rolling the windows down is noisy, inconvenient, and can even make your car feel hotter as the glaring sun pours into the driver’s seat. You drive your car every day, and putting up with it simply isn’t an option any longer. That means you’re probably asking a few questions: How long will it take? How much will it cost? And, how soon can it be finished?
Identify The Problem
There could be many things causing a problem with your air conditioner in your vehicle. At Pro Rod Auto Repair, we can identify the problem with your air conditioner and fix it fast. Some of the most common problems that could be making your air conditioner feel hot or not work at all include:
- A clogged cabin air filter. A clogged cabin air filter reduces air quality, and it will also decrease the effectiveness of your air conditioner, making it feel warmer than normal. This filter should be replaced every once or twice per year, depending on the mileage. If left clogged, it can also cause it to freeze up as it is unable to remove moisture from the cooling coil or cause the blower motor to stop working before its time.
- A condenser covered with dirt and bugs stopping airflow. A hose that has come loose somewhere in your air conditioner will deem your air conditioner ineffective or unable to work at all.
- A broken fan. If your ventilation fan is broken, air might be cool but it won’t be flowing freely into your vehicle’s cabin.
- Broken seals within the system will make the air conditioner less effective and leave your car feeling hot.
How Much Will It Cost?
The repair cost will depend on exactly what the problem is. At Pro Rod Auto Repair, we can check your air conditioner and tell you what’s wrong usually within a matter of hours. Once we have identified the problem, we will give you a call and let you know how much the necessary parts and labor will cost to repair your air conditioner and get it back into good working condition again to keep you cool all summer long.
Due to how an air conditioning system functions there is a charge to diagnose an a/c problem. Freon has to be checked with a special machine that weighs the freon so it can be filled to factory levels and due to environmental laws, freon is expensive and requires special equipment to check and recover the gas to repair and service the car.
If you are wondering how long it will take, we will do our best to work with your schedule and get your car back to you as soon as possible. If we need to order in a part, we will let you know approximately when it will arrive so that you can keep your car until we can repair it. We will keep you updated throughout the process, and we’ll let you know as soon as your car–and its air conditioner–is ready for you again.[/vc_column_text]
